Incredible $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Online Gaming GM's Dream
After a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore that lasts through early December. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.
Primary Feature
The standout feature is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and most notably, tactical combat environments.
An imaginative landscape chart generated in the CC3+ software platform.
Package Levels
Entry Level
The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.
Mid-Range Option
The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.
Full Package
Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle includes all the following:
- Fractal Terrains 3+
- Dungeon Designer 3
- Urban Planning Software
- Cosmic Mapping System
- Perspectives 3
- Dioramas 3
- Character Design Module
- Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans

- Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)

All 17 volumes from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.
Charitable Component
As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select their donation amount on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, allowing you to adjust the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
